Three Spiritual Conditions of Man’s Heart

Welcome to the discourse on the three spiritual conditions of the heart of man. Because the discourse is a lengthy discussion and is filled with much information, we, having an unction from the Holy Spirit, were instructed to move the discourse to its own page. Already the discourse has been a blessing to some and a few of us have discussed its contents in depths. We sincerely pray that as you read, meditate and apply the insights and truths that God delivers and or imparts into your hearts and minds, that you will be blessed and more determined to live out your Christian life to the fullest of God’s expectancy.

Again, we remind you that though some of the teachings are piercingly painful, know that weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning. Psalm 30:5 from the Amplified Bible: “For His anger is but for a moment, His favor is for a lifetime. Weeping may endure for a night, but a shout of joy comes in the morning“.

Chastisement and correction received with the right attitude, in the right frame of mind and with a sincere heart will bring an unexplained joy that surpasses human understanding. Chastisements and corrections are geared to the heart of man. Its intents is to uproot and destroy the impurities within the heart that keeps us walking destructive paths, impurities that blemishes character, impurities that distorts rightful thinking, impurities that imprisons us to despair and bondage.

God’s intent for the life of man was introduced to us through Adam and Eve’s stay in the paradise garden which was their first place of habitation, their first apartment, their first house. The couple had stability, peace and plenty. Their work, rest and play held no hardships, no despair, no anxieties, no worries, no regret, no want nor any offense to the expectations of God. Saying this brings to mind the stanza of Psalm 23 where King David said: ” The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing. He makes me lie down in green pastures,he leads me beside quiet waters, (Amplified Bible)

The garden couple never, before the fall, experienced chastening and correction. They were only given instructions that defined both blessings and hardship when heeded and not adhered to. It was only after the fall of man that correction and chastisement were put into effect. The heart conditions that we will discuss are the results of the fall.

Please know that every person will have two of the heart conditions. The two conditions that will be experienced is the black heart and the mixed heart. Some people will move from the black heart to the mixed heart condition and others will never move from the black heart condition. Once a person is in the mixed heart condition the Holy Spirit’s ministry goes into “overdrive” (if you will allow me to use this term) to bring the believer into the final condition of the heart; the pure heart. We will discuss this further in the discourse.

In the black heart condition please know that the Holy Spirit is still at work. He isn’t working from the inside out with the black heart but is working from the outside in order to gain entrance into this life to do an inward work. We will say that he moves upon as he did in the beginning before the manifested creations of the world. In the story of creation, the divine revelation document that, The earth was without form, and void; and darkness was on the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters” (Genesis 1:2). The word hovering is translated in the original Hebrew text into rachaf which means a bird sitting on eggs to incubate them until they hatch. The same word was repeated in the saying of the Lord in the book of Deuteronomy,As an eagle stirs up its nest, hovers over its young, spreading out its wings, taking them up, carrying them on its wings” (Deuteronomy 11:32). This means that the divine revelation meant to clarify to us that the Holy Spirit was sitting on the earth from the beginning exactly like the chicken which sits on her eggs incubating them till they hatch. It is known that when the chicken hover over her eggs, she pulls out the feathers of her chest to allow her warm skin to be in direct contact with the eggs to warm them, and to keep the pulled feather as an insulator for the nest. A chicken does not get out from the eggs except once per day to eat and drink then she hastens to go back to sit on them again until they hatch. (Keraza Magazine issue 23-24, June 14, 2019)

As in the information shared above, the Holy Spirit sits or hovers above the unbeliever or the black heart to draw him or her into the Kingdom of God and into a perfect unity with God. The Holy Spirit draws the unbeliever to Christ Jesus and upon acceptance of the redemptive work of Christ the unbeliever, now regenerated or borne again; enters into the kingdom of Christ and enters the next heart condition which is the mixed heart condition. Please follow along to gain insight and encouragement from the three spiritual conditions of the heart of man.

THREE SPIRITUAL CONDITIONS OF THE HEART

The “black heart” is descriptive of the sinner whose life is controlled by original sin and his life is plagued by accumulated acts of sin.

The “mixed heart” is descriptive of born-again life into which Christ has come to reside; however, original sin or depravity is still present and thereby has created a conflict. It is the co-existence of all of Christ and all of sinful-self which creates a conflict of purpose and plan that finds its way, sooner or later, into the thought life and, too often, into the actions of every born-again believer.

The “clear heart” represents the consecrated and cleansed heart. This is the heart which is filled and controlled by the indwelling Presence of God.

JEREMIAH 17:9-10: The heart is hopelessly dark and deceitful; a puzzle that no one can figure out. But I, God, search the heart and examine the mind. I get to the heart of the human. I get to the root of things. I treat them as they really are, not as they pretend to be.” (The Message Bible)

The Black Heart

The first heart condition that we are going to discuss is the black heart. As most of you have already determined, this heart is the heart of the individual who has not accepted the redemptive work of Christ. This person belongs to the Adams family where sin is a continuous way of life and where Satan has unlimited access and control in his or her life apart from divine interventions from God. It is true, my dear friends, that all life is rightfully accredited to God. He is the Creator and giver of life. It is also true that all are his by way of creation; he created all things but, all people are not his by way of relationship. The world is filled with thousands and thousands of children. Many to most of us are parents. Being a parent does not mean that every one of these thousands of children in the world are yours. The only children that are yours are the ones who has your blood. DNA testing rightfully determines which child is yours. The Lord said to me many years ago that DNA simply means, DOES NOT ASSUME. DNA states biological and scientific fact. Let me explain further:

When a person authentically accepts Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior of his or her life there is an immediate disconnect from their former master who is the devil himself. You are immediately removed from the kingdom of sin or darkness which belongs to Satan and is immediately translated into the Kingdom of God’s dear son. This transference from the kingdom of darkness into the marvelous kingdom of light and life is stamped and sealed by the Spirit of Christ who is none other than the Holy Spirit himself. He immediately comes and sets up residency in you to do an inner work. Therefore, Satan and sin are no longer your masters. We will discuss this more in the discourse on both the mixed heart and the clear heart.  Colossians 1:13-14 from the New Living Translation (NLT) confirms what we just said by the following passage: For he has rescued us from the kingdom of darkness and transferred us into the Kingdom of his dear Son, who purchased our freedom and forgave our sins.

The Message Bible translates the passage of scripture in this manner:

God rescued us from dead-end alleys and dark dungeons. He’s set us up in the kingdom of the Son he loves so much, the Son who got us out of the pit we were in, got rid of the sins we were doomed to keep repeating.

In conversing with some unbelievers about their positions with God and in God, tempers have flared. Many to most do not want to accept that they are not in a rightful stand with God. Let’s look at a passage of scripture out of the several in the bible that addresses this dark heart condition.,

8 Therefore there is now no condemnation [no guilty verdict, no punishment] for those who are in Christ Jesus [who believe in Him as personal Lord and Savior]. 2 For the law of the Spirit of life [which is] in Christ Jesus [the law of our new being] has set you free from the law of sin and of death. 3 For what the Law could not do [that is, overcome sin and remove its penalty, its power] being weakened by the flesh [man’s nature without the Holy Spirit], God did: He sent His own Son in the likeness of sinful man as an offering for sin. And He condemned sin in the flesh [subdued it and overcame it in the person of His own Son], 4 so that the [righteous and just] requirement of the Law might be fulfilled in us who do not live our lives in the ways of the flesh [guided by worldliness and our sinful nature], but [live our lives] in the ways of the Spirit [guided by His power]. 5 For those who are living according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh [which gratify the body], but those who are living according to the Spirit, [set their minds on] the things of the Spirit [His will and purpose]. 6 Now the mind of the flesh is death [both now and forever—because it pursues sin]; but the mind of the Spirit is life and peace [the spiritual well-being that comes from walking with God—both now and forever]; 7 the mind of the flesh [with its sinful pursuits] is actively hostile to God. It does not submit itself to God’s law, since it cannot, 8 and those who are in the flesh [living a life that caters to sinful appetites and impulses] cannot please God. However, you are not {living} in the flesh {controlled by the sinful nature] but in the Spirit, if in fact the Spirit of God lives in you [directing and guiding you]. But if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Him [and is not a child of God]. 10 If Christ lives in you, though your [natural] body is dead because of sin, your spirit is alive because of righteousness [which He provides]. Romans 8: 1-10 { Amplified Bible}

Conclusion of this heart condition: The black heart has never accepted Christ and is separated from God. The person with this heart condition is one that will miss the call of the Lord Jesus on this side of the Jordan. This heart condition will join many like it on the other side of the Jordan where a monstrous time of tragedy and calamity will exist. This condition is not without a cure or remedy on the either side of the Jordan. On this side of the Jordan the black heart can receive the redemptive work of Christ at any given time and or opportunity. On the other side of this Jordan  he or she with the black heart will have an opportunity to accept Christ yet, that acceptance will carry a great price. There are going to be some who have the black heart condition who will still not receive or accept Christ on either side of the Jordan. Even after seeing and experiencing the hand of God on the other side of the Jordan some with the black heart condition, will take the mark of the beast; sealing their allegiance to Satan who will influence and embody a world leader to deceive the nations during the perilous times of the tribulation and the Great tribulation. Many with the black heart condition will suffer at the hand of Satan through this world leader of sin and destruction though they have an allegiance with him. They will experience and see firsthand the depths of Satan’s wickedness and evil, exemplified in the world leader chosen for this particular hour or time. Some with the black heart condition will not survive the entirety of the seven-year tribulation period but will die in the great earthquake that is foretold of in the book of Revelation. Many with the black heart will die in the plagues and judgements sent from heaven during the tribulation and great tribulation period as well. In our “Where do you stand” discourse, we wrote a little on how some of the black heart people will began to see the evil of the world leader and want to change their allegiance but will be unable to because they sealed that allegiance with the evil one’s mark on their foreheads or on their hands. Realizing their fate of doom, the joy for the life that they thought was a final utopia, will be sucked out of them and they like zombies will walk around going through the motions of life as they near their impending judgement. Some of the black hearts will commit suicide when they can, and we say when they can because there will come a moment in the tribulation period when men and women are going to want to die but death for a season; precisely five months will be rendered powerless. Man won’t even have the power to kill himself.  Revelation 9:1-6 from the Amplified Bible:

9 Then the fifth angel sounded [his trumpet], and I saw a star (angelic being) that had fallen from heaven to the earth; and the key of the bottomless pit (abyss) was given to him (the star-angel). He opened the bottomless pit, and smoke like the smoke of a great furnace flowed out of the pit; and the sun and the atmosphere were darkened by the smoke from the pit. Then out of the smoke came locusts upon the earth, and power [to hurt] was given to them, like the power which the earth’s scorpions have. 4 They were told not to hurt the grass of the earth, nor any green thing, nor any tree, but [to hurt] only the people who do not have the seal (mark of ownership, protection) of God on their foreheads. They were not permitted to kill anyone, but to torment and cause them extreme pain for five months; and their torment was like the torment from a scorpion when it stings a man. And in those days people will seek death and will not find it; and they will long to die [to escape the pain], but [will discover that] death evades them.

This chapter references the fifth trumpet judgement that God sends to the earth from heaven. This judgement will only effect those of them with black hearts who still haven’t made a conscious decision to accept Christ. Notice that this is the fifth trumpet judgement. There are 4 more before this judgement that will have passed and still many black hearts will not accept the redemptive work of Christ. Instead, their hearts have grown darker and their hatred for God will intensify. Notice also that this judgement opens the abyss. The abyss can be defined as a demon’s prison. Not all of the fallen angels are free to roam the earth in this present Jordan. Some fallen angels are imprisoned by God for his purposes and chapter 9 of revelation shows that purpose. These demonic forces can only be set free at God’s command. This should show us that everything created by God is subject to God and all living beings are in His control be they humanly beings or spiritual beings.  Chapter 9 of Revelation will be discussed further in the contents of Revelation. Please know that there are still yet other demons in reserve to carry out the judgements of God at His command, on the other side of the Jordan.

Again, some of the black hearts will commit suicide when they can; desiring death rather than physically enduring the calamities, tragedies and state that the world will be in. Even through suicide the black heart is lost because he or she did not accept the Lord Jesus and the redemptive work of Christ. The sadness of this particular situation is what the act of suicide actually says. The act of killing oneself during this time says, “I’d rather die and go to the lake of fire separated from you Jesus, than to bow down to worship you and live life according to your standards”. Rebellion is a beast that destroys. Rejection is a beast that destroys. Hatred is a beast that destroys.  As much as the black heart says it has love for him or herself verbally, the black heart has no real love for self which is shown in the fact that he or she will not even save themselves through the action of exercising the power of choice or free will where he or she is guaranteed safety, peace, love, and eternal care. The black heart will not give choice over to the one person who will take that choice with love and cause the greatest harvest in this life as well as the life to come.

In the above passage of scripture, we can see that those of them who have received Jesus, who’ve made a sincere choice from their hearts to serve him even in the midst of all the chaos; are protected. The demon locust is instructed to touch only those of them who do not have the mark of God or the seal of God on their forehead. Demons can see who belongs to God and who doesn’t.

Some black hearts will die before even taking the mark of the beast but are still lost because they did not accept Jesus to allow him to change such a stony heart. The depths of the evil within the black heart of the unbelievers will be multiplied and acted out. They will kill Christians as well as one another. They will be stealing, lying, and betraying one another out of impure consciences and increased wicked hearts.  Their sufferings will be great and greatly multiplied as the plagues from heaven are poured upon the earth. The black heart will be catching it from both sides, from God and from Satan through the world’s leader.

Several soul-searching questions we will leave with the black heart for ponder and meditation.  Why do you hate God? Why is Jesus detested by you? What charge do you have against God that justifies your decision to reject him? What evil has he done to you?

If you dear reader has been diagnosed with this heart condition and you are serious about receiving the cure for this condition, please take this moment to pray these life changing words.

“God my Creator: the message of my stand with you has found me in a place that is separate from where you desire for me to be and has found me in a place where I do not want to be. Careful examination of my stand shows me to be in need of a Savior. I have come to realize that my life has been one big joke and a playground for the devil’s intents and rightfully so because I had not received your love offering for me in the person of Jesus Christ. Please forgive me for the ignorance of my ways and the sins committed against you and your righteousness. I desire this Jesus; God and I ask Jesus to come into my heart to change my life to live what is pleasing in your sight. I believe the blood that Jesus shed on the cross was for me in my stead. I believe that his death was in exchange for my freedom to serve you and my benefit to become united with you. I believe that him being raised from the dead by you was the seal to what I can have and should have with you by way of relationship and fellowship. I believe you have heard my prayer, my plea and has forgiven my sins. Thank you for receiving me into your kingdom and family. Seal me with your Spirit in ownership and in helps to live a life pleasing and acceptable to you. AMEN. Now I can rightfully address you as Father and Jesus as Savior and Lord. Thank you.

If you have sincerely prayed this prayer my friend, on the behalf of the Godhead bodily and all of the household of faith, we welcome you into the family of God. Please know that all of heaven is rejoicing at this very moment over the conscious decision that you have made.

Jesus said, “I tell you, there is rejoicing in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents” (Luke 15:10). Why do they rejoice? Not because they’re surprised, but because a great victory has been won.

Please journey with us to the Mixed heart condition.
