Intro to Task or Ministry
The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and He delighteth in his way. Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the LORD upholdeth him with His hand. Psalm 37:23-24
Good day followers. Once again, I ask your permission to pull a scripture out of its original context to use the contents thereof for our thought: Task or ministry.
My walk with God has led me on a path that seems new to me but runs the course of God’s plan for my life. This path having many twists and turns at times has set me smack dab in the middle of an adventure that I never saw coming. Already at the beginning of this path I have found myself surrounded by new faces, new stories and testimonies to the works that God has wonderfully worked in the lives of those of them who’ve shared.
Once I’d learned about this seemingly new path I was to travel, I immediately made plans within myself to keep quiet about my position in Christ and planned to sit back, listen and observe the people and my surroundings. I planned to gradually interject where I deemed necessary my position in Christ. Let me say this; many are the thoughts and plans in the heart of man, yet it is God who has the last say in all matters. God is still sovereign and has providential reign.
I’ve only been traveling this path for five days dear followers and immediately God has set four wonderful young ladies before me that He and I have already loved, adopted and cherish. These beautiful ladies and I have of course embraced my God, embraced my position in Christ, embrace the Holy Spirit as well as His knowledge and insights and have embraced one another in the love of God. We’ve accepted each other for who we are. There was love at first sight. This is how God does. The same way that we have no choice in the natural as to who our siblings will be; so, it is in the kingdom of God. He chooses, we don’t.
Through the embrace of God’s love for one another already when one hurts, we all feel the pain and come together to help ease the pain. Already if one needs a nickel, we all put our pennies together and come up with more than enough to meet the need. Already we put a bag of chips, bottles of water, sandwiches and other snacks together where all is fed and there is no lack among us. Isn’t this the same thing that Jesus did; especially with the two fish and five loaves of bread? The “I have to wait to get to know you first” ruins a lot of good opportunities to get in on what the Lord is doing from the ground floor.
Our thought today of task or ministry will be a rather lengthy post. In advance I thank you for your patience and for following every written word to the end.
